Directions & Parking

By Car

Please turn off navigation systems when you get to Cornwall – it’s not helpful!

To Exeter via: M5 from Birmingham, M4 and M5 from London or M3 and A303 and A30 for a more scenic route.

From Exeter: At Exeter the M5 becomes the A38, stay on it following signs to Plymouth. DON’T head for Plymouth city centre, stay on the A38 heading for the Tamar Bridge. Follow the A38 towards Liskeard. After approx. 10 miles you will come to a large roundabout at Trerulefoot. Turn left onto the A374. After approximately one mile turn right onto the A387 signed for Looe. After descending the hill into Looe follow the sign to Polperro (A387) over the bridge.

In Polperro: After the “Welcome to Polperro” sign you will descend the winding hill to a mini roundabout with the main car park on your right. Turn left onto the main street, The Coombes, into the village past the “Restricted Access” sign.

Visitors to Penryn House are among the few people allowed into the village by car. After approx 300yds you will see our sign on the left. Go onto to the right hand side of the road to get a good swing into our entrance – it is a narrow bridge over the stream. We have car parking spaces for all our guests.

By Bus

We are serviced by Plymouth City Bus on the 73 and 72 routes. We also have a bus service to Polruan on the Traveline 489 service, week days only.

By Train

Our nearest mainline railway station is Liskeard and this is serviced by GWR and Cross Country Trains. There is a branch line from Liskeard to Looe – which is very picturesque.

 By Plane

The nearest airport is Newquay, about a 45 minute drive or Exeter, which should take you about 75 minutes.
